My standard for good product design is pretty simple: please don’t make my day more annoying. I don’t need my refrigerator to have an internet connection. I need it to keep my food cold.
That’s why I appreciate a small, useful detail. Somebody noticed a problem, found a solution, and made it happen. No app needed. Beautiful.
