30 Well-Worn Things That Show What Years Of Use Really Look Like
There’s something satisfying about seeing a spot so well-worn you can tell exactly where people have touched it for decades, or a patch of floor worn down by years of footsteps.
It’s wholesome in a way. I think about all the people who passed through and the little moments that happened there. But seeing the worn spot next to what it used to look like also makes the passage of time a little too obvious.
Then, next thing you know, I’m thinking about existence and can’t sleep. I came here to look at an old staircase. How did this happen?
It’s not that deep. These well-worn things just show what years of everyday use leave behind. I’ll try to enjoy them like a real person.
