Donating something to a thrift store is a nice way of saying, “I don’t want this anymore, but I’m willing to believe somebody does.” And usually, you’re right. Somewhere out there is a person who is repurposing old paintings someone couldn’t throw away themselves.

I like looking at the stuff that takes a little more imagination. You pick it up and start imagining what the household it came from is like. Then you realize you’ve been considering buying it for five minutes and you’re the household.

These weird thrift store finds were shared in this Facebook group. Some are questionable purchases. Others are excellent purchases that I would have a hard time explaining to my wife.
