Halloween involves a lot of work for a night that usually ends with me eating candy I bought for other people. You have to come up with a costume, then you spend the evening explaining it to someone dressed as a referee.
I also think the moment something goes wrong is when you finally start getting your money’s worth.
A perfect Halloween photo is nice, but a failed attempt has a much better chance of becoming something your friends send you every October for the rest of your life. That’s a holiday tradition you don’t even have to decorate for.
