30 Funny Times People Took Instructions A Little Too Literally
I’m someone who follows directions best when they’re given to me literally. If I decorated cakes, I’d need everything spelled out so I don’t make a mistake. Tell me exactly what to write, where to write it, and when to stop writing.
That last part seems to be where things went wrong here.
You’d think it would be somewhat simple to avoid putting the customer’s entire request on the finished product, but some people just aren’t paying attention. They’re going through the motions. I get it. We’ve all mentally clocked out before our shift actually ended. Unfortunately, some jobs leave permanent evidence.
These funny custom order fails make a heck of a case for the phrase “measure twice, cut once.” Or at least read twice before frosting somebody’s delivery instructions onto a birthday cake.
