35 Adulting Memes Funny Enough To Distract You From Your Responsibilities

Being an adult is basically just a series of small, unglamorous disasters strung together and called “responsibility.” Nobody tells you that the real milestone isn’t getting a job or paying rent, it’s the day you get excited about a specific brand of paper towels going on sale. You spend your whole childhood dreaming about the freedom of adulthood, no bedtime, no permission slips, do whatever you want whenever you want, and then you get there and realize the actual freedom is choosing which bill to be stressed about first.

The good news is that somebody out there has been documenting this experience in meme form, and it’s somehow both deeply relatable and funny at the same time.
