When I was a kid the coolest thing at school was the playground. You had a slide that would both burn and electrocute you, you had monkey bars that were 47ft off of the cement ground, and you had a steel carousel that the older kids would spin you on so fast it’d make an astronaut throw up. I loved all of that, but these improvements are, well, improvements.

8. This vending machine at my school sells various school supplies.
9. My daughter’s first-grade classroom has desks with pedals so kids can move while learning.
10. My university has coasters that can test your drink for rape drugs.
11. This just got installed at my school. A public workbench for your bicycle complete with tools and a QR code for common repair help!
