Design “Solutions” That Have Created A Whole New Set Of Problems (50 Pics)
The best designs go unnoticed and the easiest way to do that is to not make a simple solution harder than it has to be. Unfortunately, it can’t always be that way.
Awful designs are all around us. The toilet paper holder was in the wall that was the farthest away from the toilet. Making life very inconvenient when it didn’t need to be. I’m lucky compared to the people who have to live with these design fails.
The Instagram account “Typical Rykozhop” shares pics of the worst designs that fail to offer any solutions but actually create a new set of problems.

1. This is not what I was expecting when you said the bathroom is down the hall.

A designer’s job is to communicate to the person building or executing their design. It’s supposed to look a certain way and work with ease but what happens when there’s a miscommunication or misunderstanding?

People tend to associate design with interior aesthetics but it can also be applied to practical areas, like construction. Engineering a product to function with ease is a skill set that requires a keen eye and the right experience. That’s why it can be expensive to get the job done right. It’s when you start to cut corners or do it yourself, you may run into problems.
