I’ve worked in a few office environments and there are usually two constants. First, the boss is a micromanaging jerkwad. Second, the person who is head of HR is one of the hottest messes you’ve ever met.
No surprise that’s the case with today’s Reddit work story. This employee worked for a boss who would “love bomb” them with compliments while turning around and berating them in front of each other. The boss would also use HR to cover his tracks and keep everyone in line by fear and intimidation.
If you work at a place like this, get out. No one needs this kind of toxic work environment.
