20 Vintage Photos Of Kids Playing Outside That Capture Summer Freedom Before Technology
Before phones and Wi-Fi, kids would just go outside and figure things out. They didn’t need plans, phones, or a ride anywhere. The fun started right outside their front door. A stick could be a sword, a bat, or part of a fort, and somehow that was enough to keep them busy all day.
Seeing these vintage photos makes me wish I had that kind of childhood. I grew up with TV and the internet, but there is something about running around barefoot, coming home with grass stains, and telling your parents wild stories that sounds way better than scrolling. I would trade my phone for that kind of summer, at least for a day.
