It’s kind of alarming how little of an idea I have about how food grows. Like, pineapples don’t come from a tree? Does asparagus grow like a creepy worm? It’s terrifying. I guess in retrospect I just assumed everything just fell out of a tree. Nature is very diverse, and that’s why we love it. Except for me. I hate it, and I hate learning about it because it challenges my preconceptions.
