For the first time in history, we’ve been able to capture an image of a black hole. MIT grad student Katie Bouman began work 3 years ago on a new algorithm that helped achieve this first-time ever picture, all so the internet could roast it. That’s what the internet does.
The image, while amazing to even be looking at it, doesn’t give you a whole lot, but it was enough for these folks. They knew exactly what it looks like.
