The Middle Ages were a wild time as evidenced by these really bad medieval animal drawings. Twitter user @DannyDutch made a hilarious thread of times medieval artists said “f*ck it” and totally guessed what these animals looked like based on things they’ve read. In my humble opinion, whoever drew the owl with the human face should never have been allowed to use a quill again.
