I think most of us have had at least one “what are the odds?” moment in our lives. Fate? Happenstance? Serendipity? Just dumb luck? Whatever it is, it feels magical. I don’t want to hear about the odds. I want to believe in magic. Enjoy this collection of strange, bizarre, and potentially improbable events!
1. In 1990, a panel of the windscreen on British Airways Flight 5390 fell out at 17k feet, causing the cockpit to decompress & its captain to be sucked halfway out of the aircraft. The crew held onto him for more than 20 minutes as the co-pilot made an emergency landing. The pilot made a full recovery.
2. Went to take a picture of the rainbow and lightning struck at the same time!

4. Rugby player catches his own miss.
5. A pine tree landing directly on a fence post.
6. Train breaks through the barrier onto the statue at the end of the line. Happened in the middle of the night, no injuries as of yet. Spijkenisse, The Netherlands.
7. During a 3000-mile road trip, my motorcycle luggage broke and rolled onto the hot exhaust, starting my clothes on fire, 20 feet from a fire truck full of bored firefighters.
8. An Intimidation shot in RDR2. Regular shot for the bird.
9. Two bullets that collided.
10. Natural History Museum of London finds Sydney Morning Herald newspaper clipping from Australia Day 1883 inside sunfish that mentions the capture of the very same gigantic fish.
11. This snowflake falling and being held up perfectly on a spider web strand.

14. It was foggy but caught 2 lightning strikes over 1 rainbow.
