I’m a history buff so when I find something I haven’t seen before, it changes everything. There are so many moments in history that are hard to imagine so I’m thankful someone was there to take a photo.
Learning about history in school may involve a lot of reading and imagining what it was like to live in a certain era but when there are photos of these historical events it makes it real. There’s something about being able to see what was happening easier to understand and comprehend.
Sometimes I wonder if people even knew they were making history or if they were just going about their day. Like the Beatles Abby Road photo. Did they realize how iconic that photo would be? What were they doing right before that was taken?
These old photos of moments in history are definitely worth a gander even if you have seen a few of them before.
