People Share Movies They Loved, But Are Too Emotionally Traumatic To Watch Again

People love movies. We love being captivated by a good story, but sometimes that story is just a little too potent. There are some emotionally traumatic movies that, though loved,  folks can only make it through once.

People in this thread share the movies that they “loved but could only watch once”. As someone who loves to rewatch his favorite movies, that is a powerful statement.

First, a compiled list of all the moves shared. After that is a more nuanced list with explanations. Feel free to share any movies they missed in the comments.

My contribution to this list is The Neverending Story. That movie hit hard in a lot of ways but I still haven’t gotten over Artax and the Swamp of Sadness 🙁
