This a gentle reminder to Catholics, lapsed Catholics, and Episcopalians, Lent technically starts on Feb 22 and goes through April 6. And yes, this gentle reminder is in meme form.
For many, Lent is a great chance to restart that New Year’s resolution you already gave up on, at least for 5-10 days before giving up on that too.
Over the years, Twitter seems to have a default Lent joke about “giving up” this year, and while still funny, it’s not the most creative meme we’ve seen on either Ash Wednesday or Lent, so we figured it’d be our gift to Catholics and non-Catholics alike to share what we think are fairly smart and fresh Lent memes for this the year of our tempted-in-the-desert-for-40-days Lord, 2023.
