Bad landlords are the worst. I never understood how treating people so shitty would make your business better. People are always going to need a place to live but wouldn’t it just make more sense to treat your tenants with respect and then they’ll be happy to pay rent on time, communicate with you and keep the place nice? Sure, there are probably awful tenants out there but most people are just trying to have a nice place to live. But what do I know?
I’ve luckily not encountered this much douchebaggery from a landlord. The worst I’ve had to deal with was my landlord asking for a paper check every month. Who writes checks anymore? It was his personal preference but definitely annoying to have to mail a check knowing it might not get to him in time.
According to this pretty eye-opening subreddit, there are a lot of bad landlords and they deserved to be shamed online. These people deserve better.
