Employee Reveals How Her Boss Can Read All, Even ‘Private’ Slack Messages

Using workplace communication tools like Slack have become commonplace nowadays, especially with the growing amount of employees working from home. But what many of us do not know is your messages on there aren’t always private.

In a recent viral Tiktok, a worker Gabrielle (@Gabrielle_judge) explained that these workplace chat tools aren’t as secure as everyone likes to think.

“Your boss is absolutely spying on you,” says Gabrielle. “Especially if you use Slack.”

“Your employer can also request access to your private Slack chat. Never say or write anything that you wouldn’t want everyone else to find out.”
