Screenshot Of Joke About Homeschooling Kids Erupts Into Fierce Online Debate Over Whether Parents Should Be Allowed To Teach Kids

If there’s one thing people on the internet are always good for it’s misinterpreting an obvious joke and turning it into a federal case — which is exactly what happened when @cookiebot4521 made a comment on a pretty clearly satirical parenting TikTok he came across.

Turns out, homeschooling, whether you’re for it, against it, or don’t care, is a hot-button issue that MUST be debated in the comments of a joke Twitter thread.

I’ve got my own personal thoughts on homeschooling, and how, like the world itself, it’s a lot different in the year 2023 than it was when we were kids, but I’ll save that for another post when I’m looking to have someone misinterpret my intentions and threaten my life over a blog post Pleated-Jeans, but for now, I’ll just point you to this debate, and ask your thoughts. There’s got to be a reasonable take on this out there, right?

1. OP starts the comment war by mocking an unhinged TikTok that, in fairness to him, isn’t necessarily a joke base on how crazy TikTok is, but also, 90% chance it’s a joke.
