It looks like we’ve all been there – standing awkwardly at the checkout, the iPad swivels your way, and you’re faced with that imposing question: “Add a tip?”
Suddenly, you’re sweating over whether to tap 15%, 20% or dare to hit ‘no tip‘ while the barista’s watchful eyes burn a hole in your wallet.
The struggle is all too real in the age of digital tipping, where even the smallest services come with an expectation of a little extra cash on top. Whether it’s the financial advisor who just halved your net worth (but hey, they did say “high risk, high reward,” right?), or the gas pump politely suggesting a tip (because apparently, the fumes are premium service), the tipping prompts are getting out of hand.
At least you don’t have to tip to read these memes though.
