Single Mom Slammed For Spending $17K In One Month After Asking For $30K Donations For Kids

TikTokker Adrielle Sigler (@veganrizz), a single mom of three, is under fire for launching a GoFundMe campaign asking for $30,000 after she revealed she spends a staggering $17,000 a month.

She started the campaign to pay for an “emergency move” after her son was allegedly assaulted at school.

But in a separate video, she revealed that much of her money goes to things like Amazon shopping, food deliveries, and hair salons.

Further, it came to light that her son had volunteered to participate in a fight club-style event with peers, which many claim changes the dynamic of her situation entirely.

A tale of emergency and extravagance

Adrielle pleaded for donations in a TikTok video, stating, “We are raising money for a move that was unexpected due to emergency and safety reasons,” after her son was allegedly assaulted near his school in Jamestown, New York.

Sounds reasonable, right? Well, not entirely.

High spending habits revealed

“We are so ready to live in a nice new, safe home in a safe neighborhood and belong to a safe school district,” she said.

Yet, critics questioned her need for funds when she broke down her monthly expenditures in a separate video.

“First of all, I pay my rent in advance, and it was due,” she said. “Then, I had to get my car totally repaired. That alone was close to $5,000.”

Add $1,600 for kids’ summer clothes, and the tally starts climbing.

“And then we had to pay for groceries. And my kids like to eat at restaurants and DoorDash [food delivery], and they’re in sports.”

“Then you have to buy things on Amazon. My daughter likes getting makeup and hair stuff, and I like getting hair stuff and [hair] supplements. And let’s not forget hair salons.”

“I’m super generous with my kids,” she says, investing in sports practice to make them “happy.”

The incident and its aftermath

Adrielle’s son was “brutally assaulted” and robbed, prompting the urgent plea for a safer environment.

The incident involved a weapon threat and led to charges against seven individuals, according to WNY News Now.

However, controversy swirled as it was revealed her son had agreed to the organized fight, resulting in a five-day suspension.

Critics slammed Adrielle for her unclear portrayal of the incident, suggesting she manipulated her audience’s empathy. In response to the backlash, she turned off her TikTok comments.

So, was this a genuine cry for help or a financial farce? Adrielle, currently vacationing until her new lease begins, leaves us pondering.

Her GoFundMe page, titled “Emergency move for safety,” has garnered $4,300 of the $30,000 goal.
