The culture war has made its way into everything from M&M mascots to gas stoves, so is it really surprising that someone out there would be convinced that beans in chili are a left-wing conspiracy?
That’s exactly what happened when one man decided to play a harmless prank on his cousin, who had become obsessed with labeling things as “woke.”
The cousin takes pride in his chili—spicy, well-balanced, and always made with beans.
Seeing an opportunity, the prankster casually suggested that beans in chili were, in fact, woke.
Instead of laughing it off, his cousin took the bait completely, removing beans from his recipe and standing firm against what he believed to be culinary activism.
But when the truth came out, things escalated fast. Was the joke too far, or was this just proof that some people take “anti-woke” hysteria way too seriously?
