Remote Worker Offered 8 Month Severance Package Right Before They Were About To Quit

I’ve been working remotely for so long now I’m not sure I could ever go back to an office. It’s kind of insane to me I used to commute both ways to an 8 hour shift, taking about 10 hours out of my waking day.

Many employees feel the same way. The remote worker in this Reddit post was just about to quit after her company was switching all employees to an onsite role.

Just when she was about to give her 2 weeks notice, she was delightfully surprised to find out her company was offering her a 8 month severance packed because she lived outside the commute zone. Lucky!
