Guy Reimagines European Countries Based On What Their Shapes Look Like (30 Pics)

I’ve never been especially good at geography, but maybe I just needed someone to explain Europe using dragons and large cats.

German YouTube creator Zackabier looked at the outlines of European countries and drew whatever each shape reminded him of. They’re so creative that he didn’t even make Italy a boot. I thought that one had already been settled.

Some of the connections are immediately obvious. Others require the kind of imagination I lost shortly after teachers stopped giving me construction paper. Either way, once you see the completed illustrations, it becomes surprisingly difficult to look at the original maps without seeing the same thing.

This illustration only uses the European portion of Russia, ending around the Ural Mountains. That’s why it looks much more compact than the full country normally appears on a map.
