35 Home Improvement Fails That Made Everything So Much Worse

Since buying my place, I’ve realized I’m on the hook for every repair we want done. Some things are purely cosmetic and can wait until I suddenly become rich. Other things need to be fixed before the ceiling introduces itself to the floor.

I know my limits, though. I can paint a room, change a lightbulb, and replace a toilet handle. Basically, if the job can be completed with one tool and a YouTube video under four minutes, I’ll consider it. Anything involving electricity, plumbing, or the structural integrity of the building belongs in the hands of a professional.

Unfortunately, the people behind these funny home improvement fails had much more confidence than I do. They saw a serious repair, rolled up their sleeves, and created an entirely new problem.
